    Dr. Ramesh Adhikari, PhD

    Dr. Adhikari is the technical adviser of SPMER.. He holds a Ph.D. in Demography, from the Institute for Population and Social Research (IPSR), Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand and a Masters in Population and Reproductive Health from the same institution.  He has more than 15 years of professional research and consultancy experience in South and East Asia, where among his clients were UNICEF, WHO and FHI. He has carried out social research, specifically on the subject of gender, sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, and migration matters. He has experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and evaluation and in working in multi-disciplinary teams.  He has published more than a dozen research articles related to public health, sexual behaviour, sexual coercion, migration, fertility, mortality and gender issues in peer reviewed journals.
